Hi, I’m Courtney!

Adult Therapist- Caregiver Support Track

I believe that all behaviors, emotions, thoughts, even the disliked and despised ones, exist for a reason. Usually, they developed as a way to protect each individual from further harm or perceived danger. I work with my clients to establish safety, foster self-compassion, and heal these parts after understanding them. Here you will find a non-judgmental space to find inner harmony.

The Professional Stuff

I completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the top Social Work Universities in the US. My educational and professional experiences have focused on utilizing Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS, level 1 trained). IFS is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as made up of different "parts," each with its own perspective, feelings, and role. Some parts may carry pain, while others try to protect us from that pain. IFS helps individuals identify and understand these parts with curiosity and compassion, working toward inner balance and healing. At the core of this model is the belief that everyone has a centered, grounded "Self" that can lead the healing process. I have been trained in other various modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), that can be utilized based on client preference.

The Personal Stuff

My partner and I love to explore the outdoors. Our favorite activities include napping in our hammocks, swimming in lakes & rivers, four-wheeling at our extended family’s cabin, enjoying Oregon’s stunning waterfalls, and trying to visit every National Park in the US. We have a mini-bernedoodle named Mayzie, and she is our pride and joy! Overall, we spend each day enjoying life together and doing our best to support those around us.
