Hi, I’m Tabitha!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in life transitions, relationship dynamics, sexuality and gender, and eating disorders. I believe the best treatment is a combination of whatever feels most supportive for you, so I use an eclectic mix of interventions tailored to each client.

Do you feel disconnected & detached? Are you struggling to find peace & security with yourself or in your relationships? Our minds & bodies are interdependent- so reliant on one another that they often try to protect themselves by splitting apart or shutting down. It can be so tempting to numb ourselves to pain, loss, or stress to try to minimize their impact. Inevitably, we numb the good along with the bad.
This mind-body connection tends to reveal itself most during major life transitions like puberty, graduation, pregnancy, coming out, or changing relationships, coincide with other issues like trauma, depression, anxiety, or eating disorders. Most of my clients over the years are in the midst of one (or several) of the above. Navigating these transitions with the aim to better understand yourself, your environment, and your relationships with others can help move you toward a stronger sense of embodiment and identity.
Whether you have a specific goal in mind, need blanket support, or seek to learn & practice new skills, I incorporate a variety of interventions from different modalities, including but not limited to: Art, Compassion-Focused, Psychodynamic, Strengths-Based, Narrative, and Somatic therapies. Let’s work together to find what you connect with the most.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology and psychology from Southern Oregon University, and a Master’s degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University Worden School of Social Work in San Antonio, Texas. Major course work included human development, group dynamics, culturally-agile practice, and the integrated use of evidenced-based practices. My pre and post-graduate professional and clinical experience has been with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of healthcare settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, community-based mental health and case management services, home visits, in-patient medical facilities, and primary care clinics.
The Personal Stuff
Outside the office you can usually find me outside, in my hammock reading, listening to a new band or podcast, or thrifting for something weird and cool. No matter what I’m doing, I prefer to do it with my spouse and daughter, and our dogs, Finley and Freddie.
