What is Medication Management?

Medication management is a service provided by a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to evaluate, prescribe, and monitor medications that support mental health.

This includes:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations

  • Diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Medication prescribing and adjustments

  • Ongoing monitoring for effectiveness and side effects

  • Coordination with your therapy team

What To Expect:

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation

  • 60 minute appointment

  • Review of symptoms, history, and current concerns

  • Discussion of diagnosis and treatment options

  • Collaborative decision-making about medication (if appropriate)

Follow-Up Appointments

  • Ongoing check-ins to monitor progress

  • Medication adjustments as needed

  • Support with side effects and questions

  • Coordination with your therapist and treatment team

Is medication right for me?

Medication may be helpful when:

  • Symptoms are significantly impacting daily functioning

  • Therapy alone hasn’t been enough

  • There are biological or neurological factors involved

  • Additional support is needed to help the client engage in therapy

We will always walk through options with you and make decisions collaboratively and thoughtfully.
